When God Wrecks Your Romance
Participants will be invited to celebrate God’s sovereignty in their own journeys as they hear Amanda’s story of coming to honor Christ in heart, mind, and body. Though there can be heartbreak along the way, the Lord brings joy out of it all!
Mercy in the Midst of Chaos
"Mercy is the willingness to enter into the chaos of another," said James Keenan, SJ. Amanda will expand on this theme through soulful songs, woven together with humorous and heart-warming stories and scripture. Amanda will lead the audience in deep personal reflection through prayer, music, and conversation. Prepare to laugh, cry, and to see your own chaos through new eyes.
Singing with Soul
Gospel spirituals give testimony to a deep hope in the cross of Christ. Amanda will share how the soulful songs of her African-American ancestors have directed her prayer experiences and informed her songwriting. This is an opportunity to meditate though song and to glean practical tips on how to sing with emotion. (Workshop components available for schools and choirs.)
